The Probate Process: What is it? And why do we need it?

The Probate Process: What is it? And why do we need it? In-Person

Come learn from estate planning and elder law attorney Erin Duques, who will walk you through the ins and outs of Connecticut’s probate process, including the steps needed to be taken to administer an estate, the differences between small and large estates, as well as explaining the roles and responsibilities of both the Probate Court and an executor. Attorney Duques will also discuss who takes charge of a Will after someone dies, what happens if someone dies without a Will, how to avoid a lengthy probate process, and how tools such as a living trust can help avoid probate. And finally, you’ll learn about some of the potential pitfalls in the probate process and how careful planning can prevent them.
