Nature Journaling & Nature Poetry In-Person
Join Science and Nature Poet Leslie Bulion and explore how nature journaling can help bring extra life and feeling to your own poetry writing.
In Part One of this workshop, Leslie will share snippets and sketches from her own nature journals that have made their way into her nature writing, as well as a variety of excerpts from favorite nature poems that can inspire you to reach into your own experiences to share your deep connections with nature and life.
In Part Two (optional and encouraged!), participants are invited to join Leslie and CRHS students for a daytime field nature journaling experience at Frederick White Farm in Durham. Date to be determined. Poems and writings created from our field journaling experience will be showcased during one of our bi-monthly Open Mic gatherings at the Durham Library, and installed in an open-air “Poetry Walk” at White’s Farm.
